Transient Symphony is a CD piece designed to be heard inside a car while driving in the echigo-tsumari region of Japan. It is an orchestration which brings together natural sounds recorded in the area, performances by local musicians- both traditional and in collaboration with the composer- and additional studio recordings. The final track (6) is best heard at the daigonji plateau.
